If they want me to see 'Speed Racer', I want the theme. The real theme. Not some knocked-up, fussified, pussified, rap-ized or modernized cover version either. Otherwise, Go Speed Racer will take on a new meaning for me.

The snotty child who says "I don't like broccoli...I don't like chicken...I don't think I like waffles"....even tho I know child abuse is a terrible thing, I'm willing to sell her to someone in Thailand if I have to hear that ad one more time.

The overly cheery Progressive check out lady who shouts all her lines...someone needs to make sure she doesn't hook up with Billy Mays and breed. Oh and bitch slap her a few times for me too.

Everyone in the USA now knows that analog signals will be kaput in a year. We really don't need to see those ads about it 50 times a day between now and then.

Cavemen...they need to be extinct on tv too.

I really hate Olive Garden and Sonic ads the most because they sound so good and we don't have them up here. They need to be replaced by local ads damn it.

I've been dying to go to Olive Garden for like a MONTH but we don't have any in town and that saddens me.

I'm hoping to come across one on my trip so I can try them. I've heard they are very good, but I'm pretty picky about my Italian food having had the real stuff for years.

I hate it when they constantly show ads for places that WE DON'T HAVE HERE. It drives me crazy.

Me too and it just makes no damn sense. I can understand if you're in a place where you can at least drive to one, but up here?????? I've heard that Olive Garden was testing the waters about building up here but it's been years since they started and still no sign of them. (Reminds me...I need to look at locations in the lower 48 to see if we'll be near any!)

I'm sick of the Olive Garden commercials only because I really don't care for the place. We have them around here. It's not a bad place. I just find it "meh".

I really would like to try out a Sonic because of the steady stream of ads, but we don't have them around here either. In fact, the only time I ever saw one was driving through West Virginia for my grandmother's funeral.

Hate the Cavemen and the perky check-out girl. There are several ads I am quick to change the channel on.

I checked the Sonic website and they have a 'travel' button that maps out every Sonic drive-in from your departure point to your destination. Yeah, I printed it out LOL! The first one was Florence, Kentucky. Yes, I'm almost embarrassed by myself. :oD

Jasper has a sonic and there are many on the way down. We will stay over most likely in Sheperdsville, Ky. cause they have a super 8 that allows little doggies. On one of our trips to Birmingham, we will go to Olive Garden. I love OG, but I think Salvatore Scalapinni is better. I think they are only in Michigan.

My opinion:

Olive Garden = faux-Italian food

When I see they've added tripe to the menu, then they can be called an Italian restaurant...

LOL! I have to admit I've never been gutsy enough to try it. However, I am one of the few women I know who likes kidneys, liver and tongue.

As I come from a large family of Italians (and Sicilians) there was never a large family dinner that didn't include tripe.

Olive Garden has been "Numbed down" for the masses. Pretty red pasta sauces and "OMG" alfredo!!!

No thanx...

I'm not fond of the alfredos myself, but I like a good garlicy marinara. I'm willing to bet that OG is still better than anything I can buy in a restaurant up here. Most of the 'Italian' restaurants in Anchorage are owned by Greeks.

My grandpa was right off the boat (from outside of Naples I think) and when he and Uncle Johnny used to make sausage, oh man...I could hardly wait for a family sausage spaghetti meal!
