We Got Snow!

We had about a foot of snow dumped on us last night and it's still coming down. I really don't mind as long as I don't have to go out in it too much, especially not driving in that mess. Altho, for once the city sent the plows out early.

This was last night, taken off my balcony, so it's straight in front of our building. As pretty as the colors are, it didn't catch even half of what I saw.

Amy these are beautiful shots. I am not a snow lover as far as having to navigate in it. But looking at the wilderness it is lovely.

We don't have any snow here in the east, in fact the weather has been springlike (I have to keep looking at my calendar to make SURE it's Jan.)

I don't love going out in it all the time, but I'm much better in cold weather than in hot.

It's not bad when you have good studded tires to drive in it. You just have to slow down. I really hate ice more than the snow.

I kinda want snow. But anymore I only want it if I don't have to go anywhere. I just hate the hassle of shoveling my driveway and then slipping around on my streets (my side streets are the last to ever get plowed).

We're way out on the edge of town so even tho Wildwood gets plowed fairly quickly, they don't always bother to turn the corner and do our street right away. However, we live this way and our cars are set up for it. I've had studded tires on my car since September and the majority of cars/trucks up here have 4 wheel drive. I can see in your case, your city isn't geared for this. If you have a big enough driveway, you may want to invest in a snow thrower. They are worth their weight in gold up here.

The pics are beautiful, its gorgeous and Buddy looks adorable. I do have to agree with some of the others that I love snow unless I have to drive anywhere near it. The entire country tends to grind to a halt if it even looks like snow over here.

I wouldn't mind the driving so much if the other stoopid drivers would slow down a bit. In town, I can take back roads and go as slow as I want. Problem is we have only one main highway to get to the next town and if the jackass behind you is in a hurry, they ride your back bumper. Pulling off isn't always an option when the side roads aren't plowed.
