My 'post to journal page' is all messed up. Says it's a known issue. Bite me, LJ.

If you hated Twilight, read "A Discovery Of Witches." If you loved Twilight, read "A Discovery Of Witches."

Never thought I'd ever rec a vampire romance. It's not even listed in the romance books, but it is, pretty much. It's not a perfect book. It still has problems with the characters being a little too...perfect. But I liked it. She can write well. I didn't mind all the description. Wasn't any more description than I've read in a couple of over-written, not well-edited books by male writers lately. (Why is it okay for men to write like that but not women?) Go read the Amazon reviews, but don't let them stop you from trying it. I was hooked by the first few pages. Starts out in a library. Old manuscripts. Several minor characters I liked even better than the leads, including of all things...a house. (Loved the house!) Good plot that is probably setting up for a sequel at the very least if not a full trilogy. Try it!
