Silverado!

My favorite western of all time, Silverado, is playing on tv this morning. And even tho I own it on DVD and can watch it anytime (and frequently do!) I'm watching it because it makes me feel good. If you don't like westerns, if you've never watch a western...this is one to see. It's got humor and melodrama and every western cliche you can think of! One of the characters gets whumped by the bad guys but when it comes to the big fight scene, he throws off his bandages, gears up and rides off to save the day just like a fanfic GarySue! *hee!* It has bad guys you love to hate and you cheer when they get dead at the end (because all bad guys have to die!) and it's got heroes and heroines you love and wish you had for friends. There are at least 2 gorgeous women to drool over and at least 7 (by my count) men to drool over and the prettiest paint pony that ever haunted a kid's horseylust dreams. John Cleese as a sheriff...dry wit at it's best. Danny Glover...oh forget those Lethal flix...he just rocks the role in this. If you don't laugh at the goofiest character Kevin Costner every played, you need your meds adjusted! Jeff Goldblum in a western? Yeah, and it works. Brian Dennehy is like a Vulcan Selat...a teddy bear with 6 inch fangs! Finally, Jeff Fahey. If you don't know him, you should. Pretty beyond belief, even as a scruffy bad guy. Dozens of memorable lines. And don't even get me started on the music. Awesome, beautiful, amazing music.

Rent it, find it on tv, download it...what ever! See it! *hugs her cowboys!*
